Rotab is the stage of ripening dates before they are totally ripe when they have more moisture and less sugar than fully ripe dates. Honeyed Rotab comes from the Dashti and Dashtestan regions of Bushehr province. This fruit can also be found in portions of Khuzestan province, particularly in Behbahan, and parts of Hormozgan province.
